Hi, I'm Sergio. I made this app.
I freelance, I needed to invoice people from my phone, and I didn't want an account or an accounting degree to do it. So I built the app I wanted.
Why I built it
I freelance, which means I spend most of my time doing the work and a small, irritating amount of it billing for the work. I wanted a light app to invoice my clients on the go — finish a job, send the invoice before I've left, move on.
Two things about the existing options bothered me enough to build my own.
It should work whether or not the internet does
Most invoicing apps are a web service in an app icon. If you're in a basement, on a train, on a site with no coverage — or if the company's servers are simply having a bad day — you are looking at a spinner, holding a phone, unable to send a document that is entirely made of information you already have.
That struck me as backwards. So this app renders the PDF on the device. Airplane mode is fine. Nobody's server outage is your problem. The only moment you need a connection is the moment you actually send the thing, and that's iOS Mail doing the work, not me.
It shouldn't need an account, or a glossary
The other thing: I didn't want to create an account to write an invoice. An email address, a password, a verification link, a trial that renews — all of that to produce a one-page PDF. And once you're in, the invoice is usually buried under accounting vocabulary that a freelancer sending four invoices a month did not ask for and does not need.
So there's no account here. No login, no email address, no ads. You open the app and there's a blank invoice. Your clients and your invoices stay on your phone unless you deliberately switch on iCloud sync, in which case they go to your iCloud — not to me. I don't have a copy of your client list, and I'd rather not.
What it deliberately isn't
It isn't an accounting suite. There are no expenses, no bank feeds, no payroll, no card processing. It doesn't do quotes, estimates or receipts either — just invoices, done properly. If you need the full stack, you want something bigger, and I'd rather say so here than have you find out after installing.
What it does do carefully is the part that's genuinely fiddly: per-line VAT rates with a correct breakdown, invoices in ten languages independent of your phone's language, several companies kept properly separate, payment QR codes, and Factur-X / ZUGFeRD e-invoices for the French and German mandates.
What happens when you email support
It reaches me. Not a queue, not a chatbot, not somebody in a first-line role reading from a script who will "escalate to the relevant team". The person who reads your message is the person who wrote the code and can change it.
Here's a real example, and you can check it — it's public on the App Store. A French user left a three-star review saying the app's Factur-X e-invoices weren't passing validation. They were right. I fixed it, verified the output against both the German KoSIT validator and the French FNFE-MPE service, and replied to tell them.
At a company of any size, that's a support ticket that dies in a backlog behind a roadmap review. Here it was a bug, and then it wasn't.
One thing I won't promise
A response time. I'm one person, I sleep, and I occasionally take a holiday — so I'm not going to put "24-hour support" on a page and then miss it. What I will say is that a human reads every message, and that human can fix things.
A few honest notes
- The app is new and doesn't have many ratings yet. Ten, at the time of writing, averaging 4.8 across eight App Store countries. I'd rather show you the real number and all of the reviews than imply a scale that doesn't exist.
- The free plan is a real plan, not a countdown. Ten invoices created and three shared per month, indefinitely, with no card. Pro lifts both limits and adds payment QR codes, iCloud sync and multiple companies — the pricing page spells out exactly what counts against the limits.
- Generating a valid e-invoice isn't the same as being compliant. The app produces standards-based Factur-X files, but France also requires transmission through a certified platform, and I can't tell you whether your particular business has met every legal and tax obligation. If it matters, ask your accountant.
Get in touch
Questions, bugs and feature suggestions all go to the same place — there's an Ask me a question, Report a bug and Suggest a feature row in the app's Settings, or you can use the support page. Feature requests genuinely do get built; several things in the app started as somebody's email.
