Why this one

Built for people who just need the invoice sent

Most invoice apps want an account, a subscription and a tour of their dashboard before you can bill anyone. This one opens straight onto a blank invoice.

Real PDF invoices

Look like an established business from your very first invoice: a clean, on-device PDF with your logo and details laid out properly, not a spreadsheet screenshot.

Payment QR codes

Get paid faster: your client scans a code straight into their banking app instead of retyping your IBAN by hand and risking a mistyped digit.

Factur-X & ZUGFeRD

Stay compliant with the French and German e-invoicing mandates without buying accounting software: a hybrid PDF/XML invoice, validated before it ever leaves your phone.

Mixed VAT, done right

Never hand-calculate a tax breakdown again: mix VAT rates on one invoice and the PDF prints a separate, accountant-ready subtotal for each rate automatically.

Several businesses, one app

Run a side business without paying for a second app: every company keeps its own logo, customers and invoice numbering, a tap apart from the rest.

Offline first, iCloud optional

Never lose a sale to bad signal: every invoice works with airplane mode on, and iCloud sync backs everything up the moment you decide you want it to.

Screenshots

The whole app, in five screens

No dashboards to learn. Invoices, customers, reports, settings: that's the entire tab bar.

Who it's for

Built for people who send invoices, not people who run finance departments

If you bill a handful of clients a month and want that to take minutes rather than an afternoon, this is aimed squarely at you.

Freelancers and consultants

Save your clients once, pick them from a list forever, and bill hours or fixed fees without rebuilding the document each time.

Trades and on-site work

Basements, building sites, rural jobs: the PDF is rendered on the phone, so a missing signal never stands between finishing the work and invoicing it.

Anyone running two businesses

A day job's side company and a weekend venture stay completely separate — own logo, own customers, own numbering sequence — inside one app.

Businesses facing the EU mandates

Invoicing French or German clients as the e-invoicing deadlines arrive: export a Factur-X / ZUGFeRD hybrid file instead of buying accounting software for it.

People billing across borders

Send a German client an invoice in German while your phone stays in English — ten invoice languages and per-invoice currency, set independently of the app.

Anyone who'd rather not sign up

No account, no email address, no password, no ads. Your client list sits on your device unless you switch on iCloud sync, and then it's your iCloud.

Made by one person, and you can email him

Hi, I'm Sergio. I freelance, and I built this because I wanted a light app to invoice my clients on the go: one that works fast whether or not I have signal, and that doesn't care whether somebody's server is having a bad day.

I also wanted it to be easy. Most invoicing apps make you create an account and then bury the invoice under accounting vocabulary you didn't ask for. This one opens straight onto a blank invoice.

When you email support, it reaches me: the person who wrote the code and can change it. No ticket queue, no tier-one script, no “we've passed your feedback to the product team”. A French user once reported that the app's Factur-X files failed validation; I fixed it, checked the output against the KoSIT and FNFE-MPE validators, and replied to tell them.

How it works

Blank screen to sent invoice, in four steps

The first invoice takes a couple of minutes because you're entering your company details. Every one after that takes seconds.

  1. Add your company once

Name, address, tax number and logo. It's reused on every invoice from then on, and you can add more companies later.

  2. Pick a customer

Type them in the first time, save them, and select them from the list forever after. Their address flows straight into the Bill To block.

  3. Add your line items

Description, quantity, unit price and VAT rate per line. Totals, per-rate VAT subtotals and any prepayment are calculated as you type.

  4. Preview and send

Check the PDF, then share it as a PDF or a Factur-X e-invoice through Mail, Messages, Files or AirDrop. Mark it Sent, then Paid.

Honest comparison

How it stacks up against what you're using now

Including the two rows where it loses. If you need those, a bigger tool is the right answer and it's cheaper to find that out here than after installing.

Word or Excel template Cloud invoicing service This app
Works with no signal Sometimes No Yes
Account required No Yes No

"Cloud invoicing service" is a generalisation — the category is broad and some are free. The rows that matter are the last two: this app does invoices only, and it is not accounting software.

FAQ

Questions people ask before downloading

Short answers here. Each one links to the full explanation.

Can I make an invoice on my iPhone without a computer?

Yes. Quick Invoice Generator PDF builds a finished, professional PDF invoice entirely on your iPhone (your company details, the client, line items, VAT and totals), then sends it through Mail, Messages, Files or AirDrop. No desktop, no spreadsheet, no Word template that breaks its own formatting.

Does the invoice app work offline?

Completely. The PDF is rendered on the device itself, so you can create, preview and export an invoice on a plane, in a basement, on a job site with no signal, or with airplane mode switched on. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is waiting on a server.

Learn more: invoicing offline with no account →

Do I need to create an account or sign up?

No. There's no account, no email address, no password, no ads. You open the app and start invoicing. Your invoices and your client list stay on your device unless you deliberately switch on iCloud sync, which keeps them in your own iCloud, not on anyone else's server.

Learn more: why most invoice apps demand a login →

Is Quick Invoice Generator PDF free?

Free to download, with a monthly limit: you can create 10 invoices and share or export 3 of them per month. That is a permanent plan with no expiry date — not a trial that locks the app once it runs out. Pro lifts both limits and adds payment QR codes, iCloud sync and multiple companies.

Pro is $3.99 a week and opens with a free week, or $34.99 a year, which works out about 83% cheaper and has no trial period. Those are US App Store prices; yours is shown in the app before you buy.

Can it create Factur-X or ZUGFeRD e-invoices?

Yes. The app exports hybrid Factur-X 1.0 (Basic) files (spec ID urn:factur-x.eu:1p0:basic) built on the EN 16931 semantic model, which are also valid ZUGFeRD 2.x files. In practice that's an ordinary-looking PDF with structured XML invoice data embedded inside, so a human and a machine can both read it. The app checks the invoice for the mandatory fields before it lets you export.

Learn more: creating a Factur-X invoice →

Does using the app make my business e-invoicing compliant?

It produces the file, not the compliance. In France, for example, a valid Factur-X file must also be transmitted through a certified platform (a PDP); emailing it directly to your client isn't enough once the mandate applies to you. The app generates a standards-based e-invoice; how you're required to route it depends on your country and your situation, and it doesn't guarantee that you meet every legal or tax obligation.

Learn more: what the French mandate actually requires →

Can I add a payment QR code to my invoice?

Yes. You can place a scannable payment QR code directly on the PDF with your own caption; the default reads "Scan to pay", translated into the invoice's language. The client points their camera at the page instead of retyping your IBAN. Payment QR codes are a Pro feature.

Learn more: adding a payment QR code →

Can I invoice for more than one business from the same app?

Yes. Set up several companies, each with its own logo, address, saved customers and invoice numbering, then switch between them from the pill at the top of the invoice list. Reports stay scoped per company too. Multiple companies is a Pro feature.

Learn more: running several businesses in one app →

Can I put more than one VAT rate on a single invoice?

Yes, and this is where a lot of simpler apps fall down. Each line item carries its own VAT rate, and the PDF automatically prints a separate subtotal for every rate used (VAT 20% on one line, VAT 12% on another) along with any prepaid amount deducted, before the total due.

Learn more: multiple VAT rates on one invoice →

Can I send an invoice in a different language from my phone?

Yes. The invoice language is set separately from the app's language, so an English-speaking user can send a German or French client an invoice with the labels, date format and "Scan to pay" caption in their language. Ten invoice languages are supported: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Catalan, Japanese, and both Brazilian and European Portuguese.

Learn more: sending invoices to clients →

Does it do quotes, estimates or receipts?

No, and it's better to say so up front than to have you find out after installing. The app does one document type, invoices, and tries to do it properly. If you need quotes or estimates as well, you'll want something else alongside it.

Learn more: what the app does cover →

What happens if I need help?

You email Sergio, the person who wrote the app. There's no ticket queue, no chatbot and no first-line agent reading from a script, because there's nobody else here. The same person who reads your message is the one who can change the code.

A concrete example: a French user reported that the app's Factur-X e-invoices weren't passing validation. It was fixed, the output was checked against the KoSIT and FNFE-MPE validators, and he replied to let them know. That's the whole process.

What isn't promised is a response time: one person sleeps and occasionally takes a holiday. What is promised is that a human reads it.

What happens to my invoices if I lose my phone?

If iCloud sync is on, your invoices, customers and companies are stored in your own iCloud and come back when you sign in on a new device. If it's off, everything lives only on that device, which is the point for some people, but it does mean the backup is on you. iCloud sync is a Pro feature.
